COURSE DESCRIPTIONS
2023 - 2024
Ages 8-10 years

WEDNESDAYS beginning

Tuition: $390
Beginnings of the foundation that we like to call “the actor’s toolbox” will be introduced, as well as original play creation, improv, physical theatre, movement, and how to use one’s voice as a powerful tool without straining.
There will be in-class presentations at the end of first term, with a small performance piece during the annual production.
Kids must be available for the annual show at the end of April.
Ages 11+ years
RUNNING SPRING 2024
This class will give students the rudiments of improv; the seat of all comedy. Kids will get to play in an off-the-top-of-their- heads, always say “Yes” kinda way.
Challenging and fun, students will learn games and strategies that will help them think on their feet, and build good communication skills, all the while having a great time.
There will be in-class presentations at the end of first term, with a small performance piece during the annual production.
Kids must be available for the annual show at the end of April.

TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS beginning September 12th, 2023

This is the main performance class for the actors/singers/dancers/ comedians out there!
Students need to be willing to expand their knowledge base by trying new skill-building exercises in movement, voice, acting, improv &
ensemble – building.
These things are all needed for the “actor’s toolbox”.
A commitment to attending ALL classes is mandatory for registration in this class, as the annual show (in April 2019) is the final component.
(3 x 5 hour weekend rehearsals in March and April, and 8 hours during tech week)
Registration does not guarantee a place in the program.

Theatre Seekers
Calling all 5-7 year old actors,
storytellers, dancers and singers!
This 90 minute, Friday afternoon class will offer games and activities that captivate and inspire the imagination through playful movement, music and story creation. A great first class for young thespians!
Ages 11+ years
Actors Lab is a smorgasbord of workshops in performance techniques, tools and experiences. It gives up and coming theatre artists a taste of the many different disciplines needed to be a versatile performance artist today.
Each unit will run for 4 weeks with 1, 2 hour class per week. Check this space for workshop date announcements.
